What to expect

As a veteran, you don’t have to navigate your future alone. We provide a community of expertise and comprehensive resources to help you reach a healthy, successful future.

Personalized Support from a Peer

Once accepted into the program, you will meet regularly with George Nickel, our Director of Veteran Programs. As a veteran, Wyakin alum, and licensed Social Worker, George understands the unique challenges of transitioning to civilian life. He serves as your dedicated advocate - available to troubleshoot challenges, help you work through important decisions, or simply talk.

George will help you navigate your academic performance and track your engagement to ensure you stay on the path to success. Whether you need an expert in Veteran resources or help deciding which program path - Academics, Trades, or Wheels - is right for you, George is there to find the support you need, exactly when you need it.
