The Wyakin Warrior program is available to wounded, ill or injured veterans who were hurt on or after September 11, 2001. Purple Heart Medal recipients are eligible to apply. We do not base eligibility on academic standing or background. Instead, selections are based on character, motivation, need, and readiness.

We base program support for potential Wyakin Warriors on character and motivation – not your transcripts. The Wyakin Warrior Foundation supports post 9/11 seriously wounded, injured, or ill veterans dedicated to transitioning from military service to a civilian career through education. We currently have warriors seeking professional certifications, Associates degrees, Bachelors degrees, and Masters degrees. We are supporting applicants that live or will relocate to the Boise, ID area.

Applications are reviewed year round and should take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. You will be asked to provide three character references, and write a short essay. You will also need to provide a copy of your DD-214.

Complete application online.
