The Wyakin program application process is open to wounded, ill or injured post-9/11 veterans who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a certificate- or degree-earning academic program.  Application decisions are made not upon prior academic standing or background, but rather upon character, motivation, need, and maturity.    If you meet these criteria, we encourage you to apply.

Our program is designed to support veterans who are committed to a successful transition into civilian careers through education.  We hold our Warriors to very high standards, and likewise take our obligations to them very seriously.  We currently have Warriors seeking Professional Certifications, two- and four-year degrees, and graduate degrees. We are primarily focused on supporting applicants that live or will relocate to the Boise, ID area.

We accept up to 15 new Warriors per year.  Applications are reviewed in the order received during the application period of January 1 to July 1, with additional applications considered thereafter if available spots remain. Purple Heart Medal recipients are eligible to apply.

The application should take about 25-30 minutes to complete, and includes a brief essay.  You will also be asked to provide three (3) character references, and a copy of your DD-214.
