Wyakin Alumnus, Brandon Woodard, Named Phillips’ Corporate Director of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence

Wyakin Foundation is excited to share that alumnus Brandon Woodard (Wyakin class of 2017) and current Wyakin Mentor has joined the Phillips team as the Corporate Director of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Boise State University, an MBA in Operations and Management from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business, a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from Ohio State University, and a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.

Brandon’s new role at Phillips focuses on enhancing global manufacturing efficiencies by bringing in best practices and innovative processes through automation, robotics, and deeper adoption of lean manufacturing practices. Phillips’ says, “Woodard’s leadership is pivotal in Phillips’ pursuit of being the most reliable and trusted supplier in transportation.”

In 2016, Brandon attended Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week with the Wyakin Foundation, where he networked with the leading industry companies. He was offered a position with Meritor and started later in 2016. From there, SAF-HOLLAND hired him as a Warehouse Manager before being promoted to Director of Aftermarket Distribution Centers. While in that role, Brandon brought his skills and knowledge to successfully merge the Haldez Kansas City Aftermarket Distribution Center into SAF-HOLLAND’s U.S. Aftermarket Distribution and Supply Chain business with a team.

The Wyakin Foundation was started in 2011 to help build the bridge between veterans pursuing education and a new career path post-service. With the guidance and professional development that the Wyakin Foundation delivers, Brandon Woodard proved that transitioning into the civilian workforce can be successful through desire and dedication.
