Putts for Patriots Update
Another great Putts for Patriots is in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out in support of the Wyakin Foundation, the Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce, the Veteran Entrepreneur Alliance, and Idaho Backcountry Veterans.
Special thanks to the Wyakin Foundation sponsors Western States Equipment, Micron Technology Veteran Employee Resource Group, Fully Promoted, Clarus Partners, Pressing Matters, TDS Fiber, and all our in-kind sponsors.
The event raised $110,000 benefiting the veterans served by the four nonprofits throughout Idaho!

Wyakin in the Community
The Wyakin Foundation received the 2023 Nonprofit Excellence Award from the Leadership Boise Alumni Association on May 31st.
The USO stopped by our office and shared updates on the great work they are doing. They are hoping to build out their Idaho Presence and want to recruit 50 volunteers to support their outreach in Boise. Volunteer with the USO.

George Nickel presented on Community and Trauma Resiliency on April 29th. We invited Wyakin Foundation community partners, mentors, and our warriors to this event. We hope to continue to provide community-focused training in the future.

From the Desk of the Executive Director

Each year as May concludes, I fondly recall the 20+ years ago when I graduated from High School. No matter the passing of time one thing remains, the sense of endless opportunity ahead of me and my classmates. This May, we celebrated four warriors completing their schooling and certification courses. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating their achievement as they venture forth with new purpose and excitement to explore the opportunities that await.
So many of our brave men and women, upon their very own high school graduations, chose to serve their country. The endless opportunities so many of us might take for granted get put on hold as they do what’s best not for themselves but for our country and our freedoms. We recently honored our heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice this past Memorial Day. A reminder, that they died so that so many more could have their own Commencement each May.
At the Wyakin Foundation, we recognize and celebrate our Warriors who have worked hard for their new opportunities. What a great feeling, to see our veterans starting down the path of their next life and achieving success as they define it. Without the continued support of our donors, corporate partners, foundations, and you, we wouldn’t have Warriors taking their next steps toward triumph.
Today, we invite you to share your love and compassion with those who seek encouragement, mentorship, and support by making a simple contribution of just $25 to the Warriors at the Wyakin Foundation. Your donation is helping to make our community better and our Warriors’ futures brighter.
God Bless,
Cory Rodriguez
