Meet Lisa Hoag!

I served in the Air Force for 11 years and transplanted to Boise.  I attended the University of Maryland, RAF Chicksands, UK where I obtained an associate degree in Leadership Management.  I attended Boise State University where I obtained a Paralegal Certificate and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in Human Resource Management.  I work for the state of Idaho for 27 years and for 17 of those years in my current position as a paralegal for the Idaho Transportation Department.  I found my dream job!  I volunteer for local and national non-profit organizations to meet some interesting people going through their journey.  In 2016 I started volunteering with Wyakin Foundation as a Special Project Analyst.  I am currently volunteering as a community mentor to Warrior Ashton LaNier.

I love working with fellow veterans and helping them identify their potential for their dream job.  When I left the military I floundered and had no one to help guide me into a professional career or how to figure out now what?  With Wyakin Foundation all veterans have a place to ask “now what?, how do I get there?, and who can I call when I get stuck?”   I love learning each Warrior’s story and utilizing the skills from Wyakin Professional Development Seminars to help fellow veterans find their dream jobs.
