Why did you choose to become a mentor for the Wyakin Foundation?

I am a strong believer in mentoring and have been on both sides- as a mentor and mentee. I have been very active as a mentor within my agency the last few years but wanted to become more engaged in my community. Being a “military brat”, I have a deep respect for our soldiers and thought the Wyakin Foundation would be a great fit! I love their mission of being a conduit for veterans and helping them successfully transition to civilian life as well as the Wyakin’s focus on education and development. I’ve enjoyed being a community mentor, building lasting relationships, and supporting an amazing foundation!
