Here at the Wyakin Foundation, we’re thrilled to report that January 2023 was a month to remember! Our dedication to supporting and empowering veterans as they transition from military service to civilian life was on full display, and we’re proud to share our accomplishments with you.
Volunteers were the driving force behind our success in January, dedicating over 30 hours to supporting events, communications, and administrative tasks. We are constantly inspired by the passion and commitment of our volunteers, who are instrumental in helping us achieve our mission.
But the good news doesn’t stop there! We were also thrilled to welcome eight new community mentors to the Wyakin Foundation, who have stepped up to support our veterans. This is a testament to the impact we’re making and the commitment of our supporters to give back to those who have served.
The Wyakin Wheels program in San Antonio welcomed seven veterans, providing them with the skills and support they need to succeed in their new careers. And in Boise, Idaho, the Wyakin program welcomed three veterans, expanding our reach and impact.
We also made a big splash in the media, with a radio segment in Twin Falls, Idaho, where we had the opportunity to share our mission and impact with a wider audience. And at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week in Grapevine, Texas, we networked and collaborated with other organizations in the industry, exploring new opportunities to make an even greater impact.
In conclusion, the Wyakin Foundation is fired up and ready to continue making a positive impact in the lives of veterans and their families. We’re grateful for the support of our volunteers, mentors, and supporters and can’t wait to see what the rest of 2023 brings!
