Congratulations Graduates!

The Wyakin Foundations is proud to announce the following graduates. These veterans have committed themselves to their growth and education and are ready to move on to their next goal whether that be a career or continued education. They will join fellow veterans in the Wyakin Alumni program Wyakin for Life. Please join us in congratulating these Warriors on their tremendous success!

Irene Padilla, United States Army

Irene graduated with a Culinary Arts degree from Escoffier Culinary School. She is currently completing an externship with her Professional Mentor Cat Pellegrini, owner of Pel-Appino Catering. After that, Irene hopes to open her own Food Truck serving custom nachos.

Alfredo Gaitan, United States Air Force

Alfredo was not with the Wyakin Foundation long but in that short time, he received a Program Developer Certificate from CodeUp. Alfredo will continue to receive professional development support including resume writing and interview preparation as a Wyakin for Life.

Michael Leone, United States Air Force

Michael Leone graduated from American Military University with his Master’s in Security Management. He recently moved to San Antonio, Texas, and will be supporting the Wyakin Foundation’s expansion in that area.

Jordan Kell, United States Marine Corps

Jordan, pictured here with his Community Mentor Susan Frickey, graduated with his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Idaho State University. Jordan had a great relationship with his Community Mentor and now will serve as a mentor to one of our new Warriors.

Nicholas Perez, United States Marine Corps

Nick graduated with his BS in Biology from Boise State University. He joined the program to give back to the community and participated in the 1st Annual Wyakin Blood Drive last November. The blood drive is now a staple of the Wyakin Foundation’s Community Impact tenet.

Joshua Alstrom, United States Army

Josh graduated with his BS in Construction Management from Boise State University and found employment prior to graduation. He is pictured here with fellow Wyakin Alumnus Mike Garloch.

Joshua Hatch, United States Navy

Joshua graduated with his BS in Electrical Engineering from Boise State University. His wife Kaysea was a medical student at ICOM and this summer the whole family will move to New Mexico for Kaysea’s residency. Joshua will continue his education in a Master’s program.

Brian Rodney, United States Army

Brian graduated with his MS in Data Science from Grand Canyon University. Brian lives in North Carolina and completed his time in the Wyakin program virtually. The Wyakin Foundation offers our Professional Development Seminars (PDS), warrior support, and mentorship tenets both in-person and online.
