Robert Sanchez

Dr. Robert Sanchez is the Vice President of Idaho Business for Education (IBE). In his role as Vice President, Dr. Sanchez works closely with local public-school administrators and business leaders throughout Idaho in advancing IBE’s School House strategy promoting early childhood literacy, student achievement, and college/career readiness.
Dr. Sanchez holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University, an MBA in Management and Marketing from Northwest Nazarene University, and an M.A. in Strategic Studies from the Command and General Staff College of the U.S. Army at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Dr. Sanchez is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with 24 years of active-duty service. During his military career, Dr. Sanchez served in a variety of leadership and command assignments within airborne, ranger, and special operations units. He is a combat veteran with tours of duty in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. His military awards and decorations include the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Master Parachutist with Combat Bronze Star, and Knowlton Award for excellence in military intelligence. His most recent assignments included service with the Senior Leader Development Division, Office of the Chief of Staff, United States Army-Pentagon, Washington D.C., and Headquarters United States Pacific Command-Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
A native of Idaho, Robert, and his wife Lori enjoy spending time outdoors with their children, hiking, camping, and exploring nature.
